Kim Baram is a fantastic personal trainer. My family and I were struggling to find a suitable exercise option which suited both our needs and availability. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Kim would come to our home each Saturday to conduct the session in our own backyard. Kim has many years of experience in this area and tailors the sessions to accommodate the needs of each family member. He is always supportive and provides regular encouragement to ensure that we remain motivated. I feel that one of his best attributes is that he is never judgemental. He has recently given us some menu ideas and a simple circuit training plan which we have started at home three times per week in addition to the weekly sessions with him. I highly recommend Kim to anyone in Brisbane who would like to stick to their new year resolution of becoming healthier and fitter this year.

Kim is the best trainer I have come across. Most know the art of pushing you and edging you to finish that last rep or set, but Kim knows when to push, by how much and when to stop. He understands the physical capability of the person and tailors the plan accordingly to make one realise their maximum potential. A top bloke with good sense of humour, who is honest and has tonne-load of exercise and nutritional advice to share. Would have loved to continue working out under your guidance, but alas am moving to NSW.

All the training that Kim provided me in preparation for my trip to Alaska was well thought out, planned and executed. The training we did with the quick release harness came in handy with all the sledge hauling and practicing crevasse rescue on Mt. Rainier and Mt. Denali in Alaska.

Shoulder strength and cardio was also very important and the training with the overhead kettlebell lifts were really necessary when I was working on rope teams and at height required a lot of strength at extension.

LIFE CHANGING!

Kim gave me the motivational coaching I needed to stay focussed with my fitness training and my diet. He offers a complete program that not only focuses on exercise but also nutrition.

When it comes to working out, you never know what surprises Kim has in store as he constantly varies exercises and switches up the program to make sure you are continually improving.

With regard to nutrition, Kim got me to track all of my food. I was provided with nutrition goals and better ideas for healthy snacks and meals (and the importance of meal timing)! I have gone from eating fast food to preparing my meals in advance for the week.

I have lost 10kg and decreased my fat percentage by 12%. Almost 2 years in and I am happy to say that I am in the best shape of my life!

A big shout out to Kim Baram from Amore Fitness. I set some big targets for 2018 and with Kim’s help I exceeded them.

I was told early in 2018 that the only way to solve my back issue (two ruptured discs and one bulging disc was with surgery). A year later and over 30kg lighter I have little to no back pain anymore and am more active than I have been in 20 years.
As a result of making the decision to change my lifestyle in 2018 I ran my first park run (ran my 22nd and 23rd today, 1 January 2019!) - something that has now become a Saturday ritual with my wife, my dad and both kids! I also ran 10km (first time in 20 years). As a result of the training and continuing with my mountain biking I lost over 30kg and dramatically improved my flexibility and strength - I feel better than I have in many years.
I don’t plan on stopping in 2019. I will continue to work with Kim to work towards new goals and with the support of family will achieve them. In 2019 I plan to do an adventure race, the bridge to Brisbane and jetty to jetty with the ultimate goal being the 2020 Gold Coast Half Marathon!
Anyone thinking about making the change and getting active - get out there and do it! I put it off for far too long!
A big thank you to my wife for being there by my side very step of the way (I also immensely proud of her own fitness journey in 2018). Also to Jeff and Leon who train with me on a Monday night - you two have provided enormous motivation (you have both also come a long way!) with Kim's help.
